Cross Country Excursion Part 3: Yellowstone Trip!

From Billings, my parents graciously loaned us a car, so we could drive down to Yellowstone Park/Island Park to meet up with Jared's family.  Alia, ever the travel champ, did great on the drive down.  The fam had rented a really nice and LARGE cabin for us all to stay.

We did lots of hiking, mountain biking (even me!), and site-seeing, we also went to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in West Yellowstone.  Alia was even allowed to go.  I later found out that my Grandma Red performed at the same playhouse one summer when she we younger.  Very cool.  Plus ever true to Ashworth fashion, there was some game playing and chatting and overall merry making.  :)  Alia got plenty more attention from many aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, Grandpa.  I don't know if I really got to hold her except to feed her, or lug her around on the trails.  I seriously lost a few more baby pounds on this trip...and that's saying something when your eating Ashworth food...always good and always plentiful!

Finally on our trip, we headed to Wyoming to attend a very special baby blessing of Jared's sister, Emily's new little boy.  We headed to her husband's parents' house for some yummy Dutch-oven cooking followed by the special family night.  Then Nathan, Jared's brother, set off an AWESOME fireworks display for us.  It was spectacular!

We had so much fun, and Yellowstone was beautiful!  We even saw some deer, antelope, a bear, and buffalo (one walked right by our car in the other lane of traffic...).  It was nice to see some real (no offense East Coast) mountains.  It was good to be home(ish) and with so much family.
Alia was a trooper and often had to nap in the carrier as we lugged her from place to place,
Wait, what school does he go to?
Jared with a couple of the kids...and Chuck's backside.
Alia, enjoying the great outdoors...at least most of the time.
Cool looking sulfur pits were all over the park.  Pretty, but stinky...
The Ashworth cousins!
More fun scenery.  So pretty.
Old Faithful.
James, modeling one of the tops I made him.
Oh, the attention...
Not a bad looking lot, eh?
Jared n' Alia and Emily n' James.
Love this pic!  Alia and Grandpa relaxing after a hike up to some waterfalls.
Check out the muscles...Alia's quite the work out!
A bit too much sugar after the fireworks show.  Errrr....
