Alia's 2nd Birthday

Alia is 2!!!  I can't believe it!  I don't have a baby anymore...I have a kid! 

For her birthday this year, we had a lot of fun.  First we took her to the circus just like last year.  But this year, she really enjoyed it!  She loved all the clowns and animals and lights and music. 

Then on her birthday, I asked her what she wanted for dinner.  And she asked for quesadillas.  So, roasted veggie quesadillas it was!  And it was mmm mmm good if I do say so myself.

Then, after diva-ing it up (sunglasses and necklaces) she opened a couple presents.  She especially LOVED the dollhouse and Tinkerbell card from her grandma and grandpa.

And Jared decided that she must have cake on her actual bday, so half a Sam's Club (they're huge!) cupcake it was.  Not as messy as last year, but still fun. :)

 

The next weekend we had a Dr. Seuss-themed birthday party.  It was complete will all Dr. Seuss inspired food.  Here was the menu:
Green Eggs and Ham Quiche,
Wocket in my Pita Pocket & hummus,
a Three Cheese Tree,
Hop on Popcorn,
Yertle the Carmel Turtles,
Poodles eating Noodles Salad,
One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish Goldfish,
Cat in the Hat Kabobs,
Thing 1 and Thing 2 Jello,
BeezleNut Splash, and
Yink's Pink Ink Drink

And for dessert....

I was particularly proud of how my cake turned out. And it was tasty too! :)

Alia got a nice haul of presents too.  She pretty much got everything I wanted to get her but was too cheap to buy. :)

And she got her own hairstylist kit (she loved to do my hair now ALL the time)

Lots of friends, and of course Thing 1 and Thing 2 Mom and Dad!

Sugar High Girls just wanna have fun!

It was a really fun party, and I think Alia-Lou-Who enjoyed it too. :)
