Sewing!!!

So, I've gone all domestic and started a bit of a sewing frenzy.  While we were in Provo during Christmas time, I found some scrap material in Jared's mom's sewing stash from dresses she had made.  I was able to pair them with leftover nursery fabric to make some pretty cute dresses if I do say so myself.  Baby girls are so fun to dress up! :) After dropping a few choice words at my sewing machine, Jared finally got the hint and bought me a new one.  I'm super excited!  So, my future projects will hopefully go much more smoothly.  Here's some of my finished projects (I'm still working on others).  Check out my super cute model!

I made the tutu in this ensemble which Alia sported at church last Sunday.  It's actually reversible.  The other side is more layered and has a TinkerBell look.
This is probably going to be Alia's Easter dress.  Shhh...don't tell her, it's a surprise!  I had actually bought one for her, but I just love the way this one turned out and it's so darn cute on her!  Plus I made it, so that's kinda cool too.
...And here's the back.  The straps actually button in the back.
This is the same style, but is technically supposed to be a top (it's a bigger size).  But until then, I think it makes a cute dress.
This is too big on her, but will hopefully fit in the Summer.  She can wear this one and blend right in with her bedroom!
This is also too big, but so stinkin' cute!!!  The bottom of the dress has shoes and purses on it.  I'm training her already.
This is size 12 months, so is definitely too big.  But a fun easy project.  We just took a shirt and added the ruffle skirt and little butterfly on top.  I'm actually working on some onesies with the same idea.  Great for a Carolina Summer.
And here's the dresses without the model.  Not nearly as cute. :)
The other dresses sans Alia.

i cannot BELIEVE how much sewing you've been doing and how freaking CUTE all those dresses are!! I LOVE THEM!!! and i LOVE that you're all into sewing! little girls are JUST the thing to ignite the fire, huh!?! i seriously can't believe that you busted out THAT many dresses.
so was that sewing machine a total bust? i knew it was LOUD so it doesn't surprise me if it just didn't work well altogether. it's so important to have a machine you LOVE--something i've only learned in the past 11 months.
So, what's your next big project?
