Ostler Family Extravaganza Part 2: Family Olympics

My sister, Suzie, and my brother's wife, Annie, spearheaded a fun day that got the whole fam involved.  We had an Ostler Family Olympics.  Each family was a team (with matching shirts and all).  We also had tatoos, cowbells, megaphones, and the works in our team's color to help route us on.  Then we competed in a bunch of fun events to see which team was the best. :)  But in the end, each kid got a ribbon, and we all went out to dinner to celebrate.  Table for 26 please!

The Teams:

The Bare Naked Smurfs - Mom, Dad, Rachel, and Brian

Popeye and Olive Oil's Team Spinach - Suzie, Ben, Brielle, Braedon, Ella, Caleb, and Dagim

The Sunny Las Vegasites - Josh, Annie, Joshie, Aloria, Claire, and Ammon

The Deep Fried Granolas - Jared, Kristie, and Alia

The Texas Reds - Melinda, Nick, Trey, and Mason (not pictured)

The Escaped Alcatraz Inmates - Julia and Kyle

The Family Carry 

-the dad of the fam has to carry each member of his family in a race to the finish

The Three-Legged Race

 -team up with someone from another team at least 10 years younger than you

The Dad Roll 

-roll dad the fastest / The Long Jump - don't try at home, lots of injuries!

The Traveling Hula Hoop 

-hold hands and try to get the hula hoop through the fastest

Chicken Fights                            The Water Balloon Toss

The Hula Hoopin'ist Mama 

-which mom's hips don't lie and can hula the longest?

The After Party at the Duck Pond

PS - We also had lots of tennis matches and a family softball game.  So much fun!

This was a blast.  We'll definitely have to make it a tradition!!!
